How long do high-quality safety boats last?

With daily use and proper care, high-quality safety boots such as the ATLAS XT or GTX series will last 12–18 months. Their lifespan depends on the type of use, care and wear and tear. Rotating between two pairs will significantly extend their overall lifespan.

Can I use orthopaedic insoles in safety boots?

Many ATLAS models are certified in accordance with DGUV 112-191 for orthopaedic modifications. Please check for the relevant labelling. The original insole can be replaced with orthopaedic insoles without compromising the protective effect.

How do I look after safety boots properly?

Clean the boots daily with a brush and a damp cloth. Leave them to dry naturally (not on a radiator!). Treat the leather monthly with suitable care products and reapply the waterproofing regularly. Check the soles and seams for damage.

WHEN DO I NEED S3 SAFETY FOOTWEAR?

Class S3 safety footwear offers comprehensive protection and is specifically designed for working environments with high safety requirements. It combines the protective features of safety classes S1 and S2 and supplements these with additional functions such as puncture resistance and water resistance. S3 safety footwear protects against damp and wet conditions, particularly if you spend a lot of time working outdoors or in natural surroundings. On uneven or slippery surfaces, the deeply grooved sole ensures a secure grip.

What do the abbreviations S3, CI and SRC mean on winter boots?

S3 refers to safety footwear with a steel toe cap, puncture resistance and a water-repellent upper. CI stands for Cold Insulation. SRC denotes the highest slip resistance class on ceramic tiles and steel plates.
