How can I find out the width of my Atlas shoes?

The best way to determine the ideal width for your Atlas safety shoes is using the Mondopoint method. This internationally recognised measurement method takes into account not only the length but also the width of the foot to ensure the best possible fit.

To determine the correct width, the circumference of the foot is measured at the widest point of the ball of the foot. Based on these measurements, the appropriate shoe width can then be determined using the Mondopoint system.

WHEN MUST ESD SHOES BE WORN?

ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) footwear is specially designed work footwear that safely dissipates electrostatic charges to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components or hazards caused by sparks. They are essential in certain work environments and are often required by regulations. ESD shoes prevent even minor discharges from damaging or destroying electronic components by dissipating the charge through the sole of the shoe. In many industries, standards such as DIN EN 61340-5-1 stipulate the use of ESD footwear to ensure product protection and occupational safety.

Why do I need special insoles in safety shoes?

Special insoles offer greater comfort, cushioning and support – particularly when standing or walking for long periods, or if you have foot problems. They can reduce pressure points, improve posture and help prevent conditions such as heel spurs or flat feet.

How can I tell when my safety shoes need replacing?

Replace if: tread depth is less than 3 mm, there are cracks in the upper, the protective cap is damaged, cushioning has deteriorated, fastenings are faulty, or after 12 months of intensive use at the latest.

Are the shoes suitable for long days as well?

Yes, thanks to their shock-absorbing soles, ergonomic insoles and breathable materials, they are also ideal for long working days spent standing or walking.

Which protection class is most suitable for tradespeople?

For most manual trades, protection class S1P or S3 is recommended, depending on the workplace and the potential risks.

What protection class is required on building sites?

In the construction industry, protection class S3 is generally required, as it combines toe protection, puncture resistance and water resistance.
