What safety classes does the MAX Series offer?

All models in the MAX Series comply with safety class S3 (in accordance with EN ISO 20345). This means that, in addition to a safety toe cap and a slip-resistant sole, they also feature a puncture-resistant midsole and a water-repellent upper. They therefore meet the highest standard requirements for commercial use in harsh environments.

BOA® Fit System or traditional lacing – which is better for me?

The choice depends on your personal preferences:
BOA® Fit System (e.g. MAX 150 BOA PRO): Allows for millimetre-precise adjustment with just one hand, even whilst wearing gloves. It provides a consistently secure fit without pressure points and can be opened in a flash simply by pulling on the dial.
Classic lacing (e.g. MAX 100 PRO): Offers the familiar feel and allows you to vary the tension in different areas of the foot individually using the lacing technique. Both versions utilise the same robust technology and the lightweight ProTraX® upper.

For which sectors is the MAX Series best suited?

The range has been designed as a ‘heavy-duty’ solution and is particularly suitable for sectors where conditions are extreme:
  • Construction & civil engineering: Protection against puncture injuries and wet conditions, combined with high durability.
  • Heavy industry & metalworking: Ideal for rough surfaces and intense physical exertion thanks to the rebound damping system.
  • Trades & landscaping: The low-maintenance and dirt-repellent properties save time after use in the field.

Are the shoes certified for use with orthopaedic insoles?

Yes, the models in the MAX Series are suitable for the fitting of insoles in accordance with DGUV 112-191. This means that a orthopaedic shoemaker can carry out certified adjustments without compromising the protective function of the shoe.

What makes the MAX Series more durable than other safety shoes?

The range features the innovative ProTraX® upper, which is extremely dimensionally stable and retains its structure even under heavy use. It has also been specially developed for extreme working environments where high abrasion resistance is required.

Are the shoes in the MAX Series waterproof?

The ProTraX® upper is designed to be water- and dirt-repellent. It withstands moisture and also dries quickly, ensuring you stay comfortably dry whilst wearing it.

How heavy are the models in the MAX Series?

The range is characterised by maximum durability combined with minimal weight. Thanks to high-tech components and the lightweight ProTraX® material, the shoe is barely noticeable when walking, which helps to reduce fatigue during long working days.

How do I look after the ProTraX® upper properly?

One major advantage is that it is easy to look after: the material does not require any special care products such as leather conditioners. It is easy to clean and is therefore ideal for everyday use in a busy working environment.

Are these shoes suitable for people with wide feet?

Yes, the models in the MAX Series are also available in the comfortable W12 (extra-wide) width. What’s more, the ergonomic fit supports natural movement.
