What health and safety products does ATLAS offer?

In the ATLAS online shop, you will find an extensive range of occupational safety products. These include high-quality safety footwear in various protection classes, work gloves for different hazard areas, hard-wearing workwear, and accessories such as insoles and care products. All products comply with current standards and offer the highest levels of protection and comfort.

Why are work gloves important?

Depending on the job and sector, different types of gloves are required, such as assembly gloves, cut-resistant gloves or chemical-resistant gloves. Our gloves offer optimum protection and a high level of comfort.

WHEN MUST ESD SHOES BE WORN?

ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) footwear is specially designed work footwear that safely dissipates electrostatic charges to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components or hazards caused by sparks. They are essential in certain work environments and are often required by regulations. ESD shoes prevent even minor discharges from damaging or destroying electronic components by dissipating the charge through the sole of the shoe. In many industries, standards such as DIN EN 61340-5-1 stipulate the use of ESD footwear to ensure product protection and occupational safety.

Why do I need special insoles in safety shoes?

Special insoles offer greater comfort, cushioning and support – particularly when standing or walking for long periods, or if you have foot problems. They can reduce pressure points, improve posture and help prevent conditions such as heel spurs or flat feet.

Which insoles are permitted in safety footwear?

As a general rule, only insoles approved by the manufacturer or tested with the specific model are permitted. These are listed in the EC Declaration of Conformity.

What is the difference between orthopaedic insoles and standard insoles?

Standard insoles are designed to enhance general comfort, for example by providing cushioning or improving foot ventilation. Orthopaedic insoles, on the other hand, are custom-made to correct foot misalignments or provide support for medical conditions such as flat feet or splay feet.

What should I look out for when choosing a work jacket?

First and foremost, you should consider what features your jacket should have. If you work outdoors a lot, it should be windproof and weatherproof. If you only work outdoors now and then, you could opt for a lighter jacket or waistcoat. ATLAS has the right work jacket for every season and every job.

What safety features do the trousers have (e.g. EN standards, reflective strips, knee reinforcements)?

Many items of trousers in this range are EN-ISO certified (e.g. waistband trousers, dungarees, shorts) and feature reinforced knees, reflective strips or tear-resistant materials for enhanced safety.

What accessories are available?

Accessories include functional underwear, hats and, where applicable, additional products such as gloves – although the visible section relates to functional underwear and hats. Further categories (hand/skin protection, hearing protection, etc.) can be accessed via the menu.

What functions or areas of application does this accessory have?

Functional underwear helps regulate body temperature whilst being worn; hats protect against the cold or the sun. Further details are available on the product page.
